About the assignment

The Västlänken department is responsible for the implementation of one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects. Västlänken is an approximately eight-kilometer-long railway tunnel under central Gothenburg with three new underground stations at Gothenburg Central, Haga, and Korsvägen.

The project aims to increase capacity in the railway system, reduce vulnerability in train traffic, and enable through traffic for commuter and regional trains through Gothenburg. Västlänken is being carried out in several large contracts and is currently in the construction phase, with phased completion from 2026 onwards.

About the role

As a resource consultant within contract support, you belong to the Contract Support function within the Västlänken department. You support the projects in contract and consulting agreements and serve as a qualified support in contract matters throughout the contract process. The role involves close collaboration with the project organization and the legal function of the Swedish Transport Administration.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • Supporting the projects in contract matters throughout the contract process
  • Interpreting, clarifying, and following up on contract terms in construction and consulting agreements
  • Participating in the preparation and review of tender documents and contracts
  • Managing changes, disputes, and conflicts in collaboration with the projects
  • Conducting analyses of delays, responsibilities, and consequences, and proposing measures
  • Supporting the projects in practical contract documentation, notifications, and minutes
  • Working proactively with knowledge sharing and common working methods between projects
  • Reviewing technical, administrative, and legal documents according to applicable regulations

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

  1. University or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in civil engineering or another relevant field for the position.
  2. At least 6 years of experience in the preparation and review of tender documents, including administrative regulations (AF) within the construction industry according to AB/ABT/ABK/AMA, RA, and MER.
  3. At least 2 years of experience in the preparation and review of tender documents for railway construction.
  4. At least 3 years of experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, or equivalent leading position in construction projects with a budget over 100 million SEK.
  5. At least 2 years of experience in conducting analyses of contracts regarding causes and responsibilities for delays and their consequences.
  6. Documented good theoretical knowledge of the regulations General Terms AB/ABT/ABK/AMA and MER.
  7. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Assignment information

The assignment is to commence immediately after the contract comes into effect until 2027-12-31.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contract terms for an additional 1+1 year.

Scope: Estimated workload for the assignment is 100 percent of annual working hours, amounting to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Gothenburg. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office in Gothenburg five (5) days a week.
